Jimmy Lafaurie: Another Globe-trotter at heart, to believe that all artists are a little, a lot crazy, passionately,… Jimmy makes jewelry, trailers and Tiny House. You know, micro-homes. We have to admit, the Tiny House in Saint-Barth is out of scope.

Jimmy has lived in Saint-Barth for five years and regularly participates in the Art Parties of the Association des Artistes de Saint Barth. It is under the impulse of the association that Jimmy created some pieces especially for the Art Parties. Large format works made from recycled materials and stones from the island.

On the island, there is no lack of recycled materials, especially since the passage of Irma, nor even stones because as some like to say, stones grow in Saint-Barth…

Overall Jimmy, creating without really knowing where he was heading, when he started a creation, the inspiration comes to him in relation to the noises, wind and waves that form a song in his creative universe and so he discovers the elements that surround him, he assembles them over time and discovers his creation and each time for him, it is a surprise.

When I told you that artists are all a little strange, that’s a good example. We like the picture that illustrates his portrait quite well. We also love his creations and we share them with you.

About Author

Monique Turbé grew up in a family of five children. Before becoming a respected hotelier, her father, Guy Turbé, was one of the first contractors on the Island. At the age of 18, Monique Turbé started her first construction, like her father, the “White Sand Beach Cottages, in Flamands. This property attracted prestigious guests, like Jackie Kennedy-Onassis and her son John-John, or Roman Polanski. In 2013, the Villa Mélissa was sold to a Venezuelan couple that fell in love with the property. Monique then decided to buy and renovate a new property that she called like her granddaughter: the “Villa Lenalee”. With this new property, Monique Turbé, created MY VILLA IN ST- BARTH, an exclusive concierge service dedicated to her two private villas. One of Guy Turbé’s last dreams was to see Monique create her own real estate company to look after the villas he had built and carry on the legacy. As an homage to her beloved father, she became the founder, chairman and partner of MY VILLA IN ST BARTH Real Estate, the first real estate agency founded by a St-Barths native and a villas owner.
