In 1996, Catherine Sanchez, a Bamboo company, created a website that quickly became « The » portal to Saint-Barth. Over the years, other portals have gradually gained market share. In addition, with computer technology becoming obsolete, the website was losing its original purpose, which was to be « The » main platform for discovering the island’s merchants, hotels, restaurants and all the activities that the island offers to tourists.

Monique Turbé, who has already created the first real estate agency in Saint-Barth, run by a native of the island, has therefore decided to acquire the website www.saint-barths.com. For several months, a team has been formed and they have set up a new site, in line with the trend of current digital technologies with a sober and elegant design.

On Saint-Barths.com, everyone can now book villas, hotel rooms, book sports or leisure activities and plan to eat in one of the island’s renowned restaurants. This platform will be completely updated at the end of April. A blog in French and English has also been set up, which will regularly cover various topics such as gastronomy, hotels, villas and the main events on the island.

In doing so, Monique Turbé wants to give these letters of nobility back to www.saint-barths.com and contribute to the economic development of the Saint-Barth destination.

About Author

Monique Turbé grew up in a family of five children. Before becoming a respected hotelier, her father, Guy Turbé, was one of the first contractors on the Island. At the age of 18, Monique Turbé started her first construction, like her father, the “White Sand Beach Cottages, in Flamands. This property attracted prestigious guests, like Jackie Kennedy-Onassis and her son John-John, or Roman Polanski. In 2013, the Villa Mélissa was sold to a Venezuelan couple that fell in love with the property. Monique then decided to buy and renovate a new property that she called like her granddaughter: the “Villa Lenalee”. With this new property, Monique Turbé, created MY VILLA IN ST- BARTH, an exclusive concierge service dedicated to her two private villas. One of Guy Turbé’s last dreams was to see Monique create her own real estate company to look after the villas he had built and carry on the legacy. As an homage to her beloved father, she became the founder, chairman and partner of MY VILLA IN ST BARTH Real Estate, the first real estate agency founded by a St-Barths native and a villas owner.
